GAUGE PEGS HIGH WHEN KEY IS TURNED ON
This is generally from a ground signal being on the sender wire. Ofteh it is from the ring terminal on the sender wire at the sender being bent or over-tightened, creating contact with the sender body which grounds the wire (zero ohms) To check this:
-Discconnect the sender wire at the sender making sure it does not contact anything.
-Turn on the key, the gauge should read its lowest position
-With the key still on, ground the sending unit wire, it should peg high
Pegs high> Check sender ring terminal or check the sender:
OIL PRESS SENDER
TEMP SENDER
If the gauge stays pegged with the sender disconnected it most likeley has a ground on the signal wire somewhere. TEST:
-Remove the sender wire AT THE BACK OF THE GAUGE
-Turn on the key
The gauge should read it lowest value. If not then contact NVU Customer servoce at 248-850-5482 with code PGHI-22134
