Speedometer hangs at CALCULATING  after calibrating

This occurs for 2 reasons
1. A step was missed in the calibration process and the speeedometer was left in calibration mode.  To calibrate the speedometer please refer to page 3 in the INSTRUCTION BOOKLET and review the PROGRAMMING VIDEO

2. A signal from the speed sender or signal source was not recieved by the speedometer.  Check speed senders HERE

NOTE:
Before Changing any setting or re-calibrating above.  Check the pulse count in the speedometer.
To Check the pulse count in the speedometer refer to page 12 in your INSTRUCTION BOOKLET.  You can also refer to the manual pulse setting video HERE

NVU speedometers with 4 and 6 pin connectors are shipped from the factory with a military setting of 84,100 Pulses per mile or 16,000 Pulses per mile.  If your pulse count is anything other than those two numbers, your sender is most likeley working properly and the programming process was not properly followed.

If your Pulse count is something like 626,400 then the programming was done incorrectly and the pulses must be reset to a lower number.  We reccomend setting the rates for the follwoing:

GM LS/PCMs: 4,000 PPM
Integrated speed senders (GM) 700R, 4L60   40,000 PPM
Screw on speed senders 16,000

If in doubt set to 16,000 and then re-calibrate driving a measured mile or manually as needed.

The above numbers will get you closde so programming using a measured mile may be required after to fine-tune.
