Temperature gauge reads too high
This is usually the result of sealant on the threads and/or wire/connector composition.
To reduce temperature and calibrate the system, add 1 ohm of resistance per degree. We generally see good results with a 33 ohm resistor installed inline in the sender wire.
Use any 33 ohm (make sure it is not 33K ohm) any wattage.
Clip the sender wire anywhere, install the resistor inline, any direction
Cover with heat shrink or tape
That’s it!
