Tachometer does not operate at all

Before proceeding check the following:

Turn on the key.  Pointer may "jump" it may or may not be exactly on zero.  If not:
Check for power on the IGN/12V+ wire
Ground on the GND wire
Signal on the SIG wire
Turn on the lights, if the lights do not work, there is not a ground,.
Check that the signal selection COMM PORT is properly connected .
Check that each plug is in the proper connector on the gauge P1, P2


Once the above is checked, the following can be done to check for proper tachometer operation.

Turn on the key, unplug the P2 connector( has the COMM port plug)

Gauge climbs:
Tachometer is operational, check signal source or wire from source for continuity

Gauge does not climb:
Tach is faulty, call NVU customer service at 24-850-5482 with code:GTC144
