TACHOMETER IS PEGGED AT FULL ON HIGH LIMIT STOP
This is generally caused by they tachometer being powered up with the COMM PORT not being plugged in.
The tachometer is stuck on the hi stop peg because the pointer is trying to get back around to zero by the fastest route (clockwise) as there are notany Return To Zero (RTZ) functions in the gauge.
To remedy the problem:
Option 1:
Start the vehicle with the tachometer fully connected and the COMM PORT plugged in. Rev the engine to around 3,000 RPM (180 degrees from the peg) and the pointer will hop over counter clockwise to the correct reading.
Option 2:
You may be able to use a strong magnet to work the pointer back around. Use the magnet near the pointer shaft area over the lens, you may need to flip the magnet around and use the other pole to work around. it may require some experimentation but this usually works.
If you have further issues with this situation NVU can rev the tach up and spin the pointer around for you at no charge. Call NVU tech line at 248-850-5482 Please have code GTC004 available
