TROUBLESHOOTING HOME
All air core gauges operate from the same basic principle: voltage.
This applies to all minor air core gauges (everything except speedometer and tachometers)

Each gauge whether it has 1 or 10 meters inside all require 3 things to operate
1. Power (12V+)
2. Ground
3. Signal

If any one of these 3 are not present, the gauge will not operate

Senders: Each gauge (except voltage) must have a MATCHING sender.  That means each gauge needs to have the proper sender.  NVU temperature pressure senders are designed to operate ONLY with NVU gauges.  NVU gauges ONLY operate with NVU temperature and pressure senders.  Using any sender oe or aftermarket will not allow the gauge to operate properly.

Fuel gauges:
NVU offers a wide range of gauges that will operate on a wide range of fuel senders.  This enables the installation of a fuel gauge without installing a new sender in the tank.  While NVU does produce the universal aftermarket range of 240-33 the OE market has a few of their own.

All ranges are listed EMPTY-FULL

240-33  UNIVERSAL AFTERMARKET
0-90  60-LATE 80S GM
0-30 EARLY (PRE-66) GM AND SOME EARLY FORD
73-10 FORD 60S-LATE 80S
16-158  MID/LATE 80S FORD

Before beginning troubleshooting:
Check that all of the nuts on the posts coming out of the back of the gauge are snug.  Not the nuts on the posts on the back of the back clamp, but the nuts that are closest to the case.  These nuts are what connect the ground starp to the post.  Check them first, easy fix.
