Air core temperature gauge troubleshooting-all ranges

Temperature gauges are the most sensitive to input.  The thermistor inside the sender is sensitive to the ground and the voltage from the gauge  itself.  Temperature gauges operate like any other air core meter, by resistance to ground.  The sender varies the resistance to ground as temperature changes.

HINT: Do not use any sealant on the sender or bushing threads, this can cause an abnormally high reading.  If required, use Teflon tape on the top of the threads so that the bottom part of the threads will bite into the base material.  this is also true if you are using a bushing.
.

Below is the sender curve for current air core gauges:
100F   450 OHMS  +/-45
150F    158.2OHM =/-15.82
200F     64.3 +/- 6.3
250F    29.5 +/- 2.93
300F    14.96 +/- 2.25
